About me

Jina Kim

My Brooklyn kitchen is my favorite place in the world. I go there for inspiration, utility, fun, recreation, and whenever I’m hungry!  I’ve never gone to culinary school, and I’m not a trained chef. I am a home cook with 30+ years experience under my slackened belt. I love the entire cooking process: menu planning, shopping, preparing, sharing, eating. I love throwing dinner parties and inviting friends over for a good meal. My kind of food is never precious. I don’t like making food that is “low” anything. I just try to make delicious things from scratch. That’s what counts.

Hey Jina, love the site — what funny, earnest cooking tales. Great to meet you and Irene at the LuckyRice event – hope you had fun with it. Wanted to ask a question about the cupcakes, can I send an email?

Regards,
Andrew

Thanks a bunch Andrew! Great meeting you at the fest. Still recovering, and I’m happy to answer our food q’s!
